I would like to take this opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to the St. George School Web-site.  We do hope that you will find that this site provides you with a greater knowledge of the daily life at our school.  As most of you are aware, many activities take place at all time and the intention of the website is to enable parents, students and teachers to be kept completely up-to-date with both academic and extra curricular activities.

I am extremely proud of  the St. George School family and consider that those of us who have the privilege of sharing our days together are indeed fortunate.  Each student is an individual.  We know who they are, what their capabilities are….their strengths and their weaknesses.  They are more than “students” to us.  They are family.  Our aim is to give them the very best formal education whilst making them aware of the importance of the traditional values.  We care about each other at St.George and strive to foment an atmosphere of responsibility, sharing, warmth….and hard work.

I, personally, consider our teaching staff to be outstanding.  Many of our teachers have been here for many years…therefore offering continuity in our philosophy and programmes.  As the school grows, not in the number of students, but as we reach outwards bringing the best of other cultures…new teachers have joined our staff and have brought about that necessary broader view of the world….they allow our students to look at the world through different eyes.  Preparing them for a future world that is probably going to be quite different to the one we have become accustomed to.

I would also like to welcome all visitors to our site from anywhere in the world.  We are an International School and therefore look forward to making contact with schools in other countries who may be interested in developing relationships with us.  We already have close links to other IB schools throughout the world…but we always seek to enlarge our circle of friends.
