Saint George has been a member of the prestigious International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) since 1995. It is, to date, the only school in the Caribbean authorized to teach the IB course of study. - The use of both languages, the multicultural environment at Saint George coupled with the IB studies programme promote critical, creative and reflective graduates.

Saint George is a private, coeducational day school providing a bilingual (Spanish and English) curriculum to students in the Infant, Primary, Middle and Senior School. Founded in 1965, the school enrolls approximately 750 students. Saint George is centrally located in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and is easily accessible from all surrounding areas. The student body is comprised mostly of Dominican students, however, due to our international programme, many other nationalities join St. George School, most of whom are sons and daughters of diplomats or executives of foreign companies. By arming the students with an innovative and demanding education at all levels, the School’s aim is to produce multicultural graduates, who have been provided with a solid preparation for entrance to national and international universities. The School is officially accredited by the Dominican Ministry of Education and the national programme is fully accomplished. The English Programme is based on an international curriculum. The IB Programme is a demanding two-year pre-college course for highly motivated Senior students. It allows its graduates to comply with the requirements of several national education systems. This programme of study is not based on any one specific country although it integrates the best elements of many throughout the world Saint George School is a member of the Overseas Association for college Admission counseling ( OACAC) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling ( NACAC).
